Asbestos Surveys - An Introduction

All premises require an Asbestos Survey to check for the presence of asbestos in areas due to for disturbance.

For example: extensions, alterations, refurbishment, replacing windows, fitting a kitchen, replacing a boiler

All non-domestic premises are required to hold an Asbestos Report and asbestos management plan for safe maintenance of identified asbestos products.

For instance: where you work, go shopping, visit the dentist, have an evening out...

  • Asbestos in good condition should only be removed if needed
  • Avoid disturbance of asbestos to prevent exposure to asbestos fibres
